Mysterious file keeps appearing on my hard drive?

i keep deleting this file over and over on my external hard drive and it keeps reappearing. i permanently delete it every time. for a while it stayed deleted and then one day just showed up again. what could be causing this? could this be virus related? how do i get rid of it?!?!

it could be a log file of some kind produced by some program you have running that has an unusual path setting,

use notepad to see whats in the file you may get some clues

it could be a silly virus sometimes the silly ones are harder to get rid of because they dont do anything serious

maybe you external HDD is synchronized by a third party application like iTunes or Media Player each time you connect it to your computer. The files might be copied that way.

It sounds like a virus.Have you tried your anti virus sites like AVG,Norton.The other thing you could do is get your computer to scan and detect.
