Mysterious needle with a gray thread?

I was going through my stuff today, found an envelope my mom gave me to keep when my family moved to NOrth america. She didn't say what it was. She's with me but Im scared to tell her i opened it. After 8 yrs of keeping the envelope, i opened it today. It was correspondence between mom and my biological father who's long deceased. This dated way back to 1985 when I was just being born. I also found a pouch contaiing daddy's drivers license and in the pouch there were 2 baby pics of him and a mysterious needle with a gray threat thru it. I didn't know it was there so i stuck my finger into the pouch to get the pics, poked my finger onto the needle and it bled.

I wanna ask my mom what the needle meant for her..but im scared. I just got poked by a strange needle that was kept for years, my finger feels a lil warm since...

I'm concerned of infections or some kinda paranormal spell or curse of some kind. I have loving memories of my dad, the correspondence i found was beautiful..tho

  1. Nasty germs don't live very well in envelopes so don't worry about that.

Maybe the needle meant nothing and she was just looking for a handy place to put it, then forgot about it.

I know there's story about a girl who pricked her finger on a cursed needle on a spinning wheel- but hey that's a fairy tale.

  2. Your gonna die... Just kidding! i doubt any kinda harmful infectious bacteria was on that needle, just walk it off no big deal its a needle prick, i scrape myself up on pavement that im sure is hella dirty all the time to the point of bleeding some times and im fine. and why would ur family ever want to curse u? thats just weird.

  3. Is your Daddy from the south?  There are some old superstitions that held a needle with a thread was used to keep evil spirits away.  You didn't take the thread out did you?????

    Just kidding.

  4. My guess is the needle is from a sewing kit . Since you are worried do something. Take one aspirin and measure your body temp in a few hours. Many germs die with age but some don't.

  5. Wash it with Dial soap and stop worrying about it.  There is nothing to worry about. Even if it is part of a spell, it was not meant for you so it couldn't harm you.

  6. There wouldnt be any danger of infections, or curses....But i would ask her what it meant or why she had it,  other wise if she dies, youll never know, and you will always wonder and regret not asking...Little things bother me after a person has died, and ive always just wondered about certain things, that i never got to ask when i had my chance......

Ask her, or you will always wonder........

  7. I know that a needle on thread may be used as a pendulum. I have used this in attempt to determine gender of birds i've raised. (in this case, needle swings side to side for one s*x, to and fro for other. This is much like the act of dousing where the sensitivities of energies cause them to display one another. At any rate, the needle may have been there for any number of reason including trying to determine your gender.

I suggest that you enjoy the energy that your father left for you, as well as your mother's. And know that your finger will be fine. Probable the warmth is from one who cares about you.

  8. Maybe the needle was used in the process of your birth. For instance, perhaps your mom had an episiotomy and the needle was used to stitch up the incision.

Or maybe it was put in there by mistake.

I'm not a doctor, but you might want to put some anti-bacterial ointment on the wound.

  9. Your finger will get better. It won't be cursed. Trust me - I'm a witch. - Haven't fallen asleep yet ?

I have a strong feeling that this needle and thread is a keepsake of how your mother and father met in the first place. It was given by her, and kept safe by him. It was probably that he had holes in his socks, and she offered to mend them for him!

  10. What if your mother dies before you do or gets alzheimers? You can't ask her about it then...and you'll probably spend the rest of your life wondering about it and wishing you had asked her what it meant. Just "confess" to her. Maybe you were SUPPOSED  to open it. Maybe your daddy wanted you to open it. I don't believe you'll get an infection or a curse on you from it. Just hope it hadn't poked anyone with aids. Maybe the virus would die by now. (Did that give you a little nudge to ask her about it? )

The curse would be the guilt you would feel for not asking her about it.You might want to try to contact her after she died in order to find out about it. Just DO IT!! Get it over with!

  11. Your mother did not know how to open this subject with you, and may still have some troubles opening up about it, however she did take the first step in opening up the lines of communications on this matter. I would most definitely ask her what the needle and grey thread were for and also, ask her more questions about your bio. dad and his family. She obviously wants you to know and you have a right to know. She wanted you to have these keepsakes of your dad. Talk to your mother.

  12. In Voodoo and Santeria you stick a needle on the picture of the person you wanna hurt, and sometimes add poison to the needle just in case the victim do get hurt with the needle.

Now that you pinched your self with the needle you're allegedly cursed with some kind of evil magic, you need to go your religious leader and have a spiritual cleanse of some kind, and tell him that somebody did or is doing Voodoo spells against you, after you tell go and talk to your mom.

  13. if you washed it with peroxide, alcohol or antiseptic sporin, you should be just fine. As for the paranormal spell, do you really think your mom would do that to you? It may be from a shirt or something she once sewed for him.

  14. Why would it be paranormal?  Was your mom into some kind of witchcraft or voodoo?

Either way....just put peroxide on it and a bandaid.

Even if it was some kind of voodoo,  I wouldnt believe and give energy to it.
