  1. add a dye to oil. it will pinpoint the leak .l use yellow food dye.

    can not miss yellow.

  2. Oil cooler lines or adapter for oil cooler lines

  3. A very common problem and very cheap fix for the 4.3 is a PCV valve, = Positive Crankcase Ventilation...when they get clogged, they cause so much back pressure in the crankcase that it forces oil out of the rear main seal which is located in between the tranny and the engine... May times it is diagnosed as a rear main seal, which is a very expensive job, when all that was wrong is a 3.00 PCV valve.....

I've had 3   4.3 S-10's and all 3 did the same thing and all 3 only needed a PCV valve....

Good Luck and let me know how it turns out...

    Peace.
