Question:

Mysterious orange stains?

I bought a new wood dresser a couple of months ago and filled it with clothes. I rarely wear those clothes so when I went to get a shirt today I notcied a bunch of my shirts had weird orange stains on it. Where are these stains coming from?

It can't be the dresser because I lined each drawer. The weird thing is, most of the stains are clothes that weren't touching any of the wood, but touching other clothes! The paper lining I used on the drawers have no stains! What happened??

  1. Is it possible that you previously had stains on those clothes?  I took some of my daughter's baby clothes out of storage and they had lots of stains on them.  When I packed them away they looked fine.  Somehow over time the stains reappear.  Try soaking the clothes in OxyClean.  I have really good luck with it.

  2. I would take the clothes out clean the drawer with a wood soap and change the paper inside the glue on some paper might be your problem summer time heat has a lot to do with this so try putting a small amount of baking soda under your paper.
