Mysterious small/medium animal

Question

i live in knoxville TN and i just saw this weird animal. it was short fat and looked like a orange/yellow cat but wasn't. It was sorta like a giant guinea pig. It also waddled. what is it????????

Well, groundhogs or woodchucks are native to your part of the world but they aren't usually orange/yellow in coloration.  They do waddle and could appear to be giant guinea pigs.  Take a look at this link.
