Mystery Knee Injury??

A few weeks ago i went camping. my friends and i were doing pull ups on a pole to hang lanterns. I hit my left knee cap pretty hard off of it. Later that day, the area was really soft and bruised badly. The area then formed a hard ball, a little smaller than a cherry. It's been bothering me ever since. My mom wants me to get it looked at today before I start marching band. Any suggestions?

  1. I don't know what your question is but it sounds to me that you hurt a tendon or a ligament. That's not good. You might have a knee brace. But the soft spot was it swelling and the hard part was probably the spot you hit it at.

I hurt my knee 2-3 years ago and it was a total mystery. Like, I don't even know how I hurt it! I ended up TEARING a tendon. I had to go to therapy to help myself bend my knee. IT hurt but I got through it. I just put a heating pad and ice pack on switching it every 10 minutes from heat to ice, etc. to stop the swelling. The bruising sounds pretty bad but then again its going to bruise if you hit it.

Can you please ask a questin because I have no clue wat your asking.

  2. Along time ago i hurt my knee. I don't recall how i hurt it but i ended up tearing my meniscus. The doctors thought that it was growing pains because it kept hurting all the time. After a while it formed a cyst on the side of my knee. So about 2 years later i went to a better doctor who did an MRI and saw that it was torn really bad. So i had to get surgery. The surgery is not that bad i could walk a few days after but with crutches. What sucks is that i cant run or walk very much or it will hurt for a couple days. if this is what you have (i don't think it is) you might need to rethink marching band. Good Luck
