My husband got stung by a bee in his right hand about 6 months ago. He is allergic to bee's but didn't need to use his epi shot. His right hand, arm shoulder and back swelled up and the doc gave him a shot to bring down the swelling. With a day his elbow began hurting then the pain moved to his right shoulder and has been there since. It's very painful to move it. Any small bump his very painful. Painful enough to put him on the floor. they have done a multitude of tests and found nothing. Nothing shows on the MRI and they have ruled out adhesive capsulitis, frozen shoulder, arthritis, some rare thing they checked his proteins for rotator cuff injury, separated shoulder, over use and a couple of other things. He is scheduled for another MRI with contrast but right now they have no idea what's wrong. It hurts when he doesn't move it but worse when he does. He is also losing muscle mass and his shoulder looks like it's hanging about an inch lower than the other one. Anyone out there have any idea what else to look for. I was thinking it could be septic arthritis but a doctor in the beginning of this said no and wouldn't even test for it.
