Whenever a myth is tested on the show the name of the myth is written on some sort of blue board. I was hoping you could give me more information on this...such as what is the blue board, what type of pen are they using. I am hoping to make something like what they have. Thanks

I have an update to my previous answer.  THe paper is indeed Pacon blue fadeless art paper ( you can find this online and at a very good arts supply store) though the effect also works with other dyed papers.

The pen is a Sharpie but NOT a silver sharpie as some claim.  Others who just say "it's a white marker" are just blowing air -- they have obviously never tried this.  Sharpie pens are alcohol based -- and for some chemical/technical reason you cannot make an alcohold based marker in white.  Sharpie (and others such as Pentel) sell white markers that are oil-based.  These are the ones that have a little ball inside and you have to shake them to mix the paint and depress the tip and wait for the pain to flow.  THese do NOT work either -- they leave a practically invisible film something like a slug trail.

The only pens that work are water based white markers.  Sharpie does make one and it is called "Poster Paint".  They suggest you shake the pen but there is no mixing ball sound.  This works great!  It is good for sketching though the lines are not particularly fine... about 1~2 mm

For fine lines you can use a gel roller pen such as Gelly Roll made by Sakura or the Hybrid Gel by Grip (both Japanese but available at Michael's in the craft section).  If you want to make a detailed simulated blue print you would use these and straight edges on blue or purple paper.  The mythbuster's effect only "suggests" blue prints since they are free-hand sketches and not formal mechanical drawings.

The paper is Pacon Fadeless Art Paper.  This has a special ink coating on one side and white on the other.  It's not just blue paper.

And, despite many other sources claiming the contrary, the marker is NOT a Silver Sharpie.  I have tried to recreate the effects with a silver sharpie and other brands of silver marker and it DOES NOT work.  It shows up as a dingy steel color on this blue paper.  

It has to be a white marker, but my hunt goes on for the correct one.
