Can anyone recommend a good book on Mythology -Greek/Roman...any type really. I'm looking for one that contains stories of the myths [not a children's version] rather than a simple dictionary type reference book?

Many thanks in advance

  1. surely the best is still Lord of The Rings.

  2. While I consider myself a Christian in that I believe in Jesus Christ, and I don't mean to be blasphemous in any way, but the Bible is the book you're looking for.

It is full of great stories which were written as teaching aids, about faith as opposed to history.

  5. PERCY JACKSON, DEFINITELY

  6. I think Mythology by Edith Hamilton sounds like the kind of thing you're looking for. It deals with Greek mythology a bit more than Roman and they're is also a bit on Norse at the end. I'd highly recommend it.

  7. Any book with bunch of lies, kind of like Bible
