Question:

Myxer ring tones can damage a part of your phone?

My cousin's friend recently found out about free ring tones off of the myxer.com website and I guess it broke a part of his phone? How is this possible? All they do is send a ringtone through a picture message and you download it into your phone.

I'm not sure what type of phone he has.

  1. The only explanation I can think of is that he got one with a virus.  It might not have been from Myxer.com.  He may have picked it up from someplace else.  You never know.  Always check for virus', trojans, worms, etc.

  2. I have Verizon and Ive sent many myxer ringtones to my phone and its still working great a year later! And I dont know what kitkat is talking about cause I have verizon and they go right to my phone I dont have to download them

  3. i don't think it can.

  4. I haven't had any trouble with my phone, and the download was very easy. Although, some carriers block free ringtones, beware! ;D

  5. i dont see how, for verizon customers(me) we have to download the song to our computer an then email it to our phone...which the email yahoo i have checks for virus's before proceeding..never heard it and i highly doubt it...your friend is just clumsy...
