  1. Go to the library or google for a book (or articles called)

    The Vinland Sagas

this is the name of the Pengun/ viking translation.

If they dont have the penguin translation look under norse literature or viking history

  2. I would say #1 hostile - based on this:

The disappearance of the Greenlanders has intrigued students of history for centuries. One old source held that Skraelings, or Inuit, who had crossed over from Ellesmere Island in the far north around A.D. 1000, migrated down the west coast and overran the settlement.

  3. The sagas have several encounters with skraelings.

In one three are found under a boat and then killed. In another they attack a ship and kill the leader. He's then buried at "keeless."

The third has the colony at Vinland trading red cloth and milk with the skraelings. After a peaceful and successful exchange the two groups separate. Hours later the skraelings return and a fight begins. Supposedly they were lactose intolerant and the milk made them sick
