N81 8GB infected!!!?

Hi All,

I have a N81 8GB phone.Recently I did a mistake by connecting it to a PC in a cafe thru the data cable.Aftr that I observed tht I am not able to open any folder in the phone with the Windows explorer.When I copied one of the folders to the PC,the extension was .exe.I guessed tht my phone has been infected by some virus.

The anti virus in my PC is showing the presence of some trojan horse which has infected some files in WINNT folder.

Does anyone know how to clean my phone from this trojan horse?

If I do a factory reset,will it clean up my phone book data,the songs I transfered to the phone and the pictures I clicked with the phone?

Please help.

what u can do is that u can transfer all d stuff in ur fone 2 ur computer n scan it using ur antivirus for viruses. tht should clean up those files(contacts can b loaded via outlook).

then wat u do is tht u format the whole memory card/fone memory of ur fone so tht no file remains on it...

now u can load all the stuff u loaded n scanned in ur computer back 2 ur fone...

I have had the same problem with my nokia 6288, too.

Well, If the virus is in the memory card , you have to format it all.

or, if you can't open ANY folder in your phone, then you'll just need

to reset it completely.
