N95 slow data transfer,5oo mb movie takes 1 hour to transfer?

when i transfer a movie of 500mb in data transfer mode to my n95 8gb from my vaio laptop(200gb,2gb ram)it takes1hour,helpme?what should i do...is there anysolution....help me

what version of the n95 do you have?

if you have the -1 or -3, what are the read/write speeds of your memory card? if you bought a cheap card, then it may very well be the cause of this. ive seen 500kbps on generic cards.

If you have at least a write speed of 15mbps, what is the card formatted as? fat16 will be faster then fat32 or ntsc.

what firmware is on it?

are you using a usb 2.0 hub (most hubs in the front of a computer are not 2.0).

are you dragging and dropping, or going through pc suite? dragging and dropping will be quicker then using pcsuite.

Is this a new issue, or has it always been like this?

If this is a new issue, then backup everything using pcsuite, format the memory stick and restore your backup. its possible that you have corrupted sectors and this is massively slowing things down.
