NAC Breda boss, John Karelse, has praised the efforts put in by the 34-year-old Anthony Lurling. The tactician has revealed that the striker works very hard on the training field to retain his fitness.
The veteran striker arrived at Rat Verlegh Stadion in the summer of 2007 after making 12 appearances for Bundesliga outfit, FC Koln. Since his arrival in Breda, the 34-year-old has netted 21 goals while providing a bagful of assists in 111 appearances.
Karlese admitted that the vastly experienced forward works hard to remain fit and expressed happiness on having hardworking player like him in his squad.
“He is a workhorse. Anthony is a person, who makes his coach happy to have him in the squad. He works very hard to remain fit, considering his age”, the former Dutch goalkeeper was quoted as saying to the media.
NAC recorded their fourth win of the 2011/12 campaign, when they defeated http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/VVV-Venlo-c40915 3-1 in front of their home crowd on Friday, October 28. The hosts dominated the proceedings right from the kick-off and deservingly took the lead in the third minute of the
match through Eric Botteghin.
However, the outfit from Venlo replied strongly and levelled the score-line moments later following an impressive finish.

penalty to restore his side’s one-goal lead.
Moments before the half-time break, Omer Bayram’s killer strike made the score-line 3-1 in favour of NAC. No more goals were added in the second period, with the outfit from Breda controlling much of the game without being threatening to score any further.
The NAC head coach praised the impressive performance put in by his side, who kept the visitors’ back-line on their toes.
“If you keep performing like this, than it does not matter that you are thirty-five or forty. He was extremely dangerous”, Karlese concluded.
All three points ensured that NAC better their league standings to climb up to the 12th spot in the league table.
