Despite taking an early lead through http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Anthony-Lurling-c6220 gave home side the lead four minutes later. Kolk sealed
the win when he scored his second of the evening nine minutes after the half-time break.
“I am sorry for Fred Rutten. He is a good fellow and a good manager. But I just cannot help it, this is football”, Karelse was quoted as saying to Voetbal International.
The 41-year-old tactician then went on to admit that his side started the match poorly, but gained control as the match progressed.
“We started the match dramatically, conceded an early goal. Fortunately, we scored two quick goals and got back in the game. The atmosphere of the stadium was changed suddenly after we took the lead”, Karelse added.
PSV resumed the match poorly after the half-time break, though they only needed a goal to level the score-line. Instead, the Eindhoven giants conceded again and never really managed to move forward afterwards.
Karelse admitted that PSV failed to put pressure on his side after the break.
“In the second-half, PSV played poorly. They absolutely failed to apply pressure on our defensive line. After http://www.senore.com/Football-soccer/Robert-c31222 received the red card, it became difficult for us. But fortunately, we managed to bag three points at the end”, Karelse concluded.
All three points ensured NAC jump up in the league table and occupy the 13th spot, three points clear of the danger zone.
Karelse has insisted that his side must build on to this impressive win and continue grinding out results consistently in order to finish in the top half of the table.
