NAFTA trade agreement question. ?

I recently got a job offer from a company in the US for a position of Research Assistant. I have a Bachelor of Science degree with a biology major from a renowned university. My question is, I know that NAFTA has Research Assistant as a legitimate profession but it specifies that it has to be at a Post Secondary Institution. My position is at a pharmaceutical company so I was wondering if that would hurt my chances in obtaining the TN status? Any genuine help would be much appreciated. Thank you.

If you were not going to work for a Post Secondary Institution (University) then you would NOT qualify for the job under NAFTA Professional status. If the job would be working underneath a Scientist it is possible you would qualify as a Scientific Technologist. All of this should be handled by your employer though. There are many avenues they could pursue.
