To be honest, they're both, in my opinion, old-fashioned (and there's nothing wrong with that!). BUT, I actually like the two names when put together; it makes a very cute name :)

I really like the name Martha. No, I don't think of Martha Stewart. I don't really think of anything in particular. I know someone whose real name isn't Aileen but goes by it. I think it is a very pretty name. I think Martha Aileen is a pretty name. I really like it.

martha is kind of an "old school" name but if you love it then go for it.  I do like Eileen.  it's still an older name but not granny sweater older like martha.  sorry,  I don't mean to offend it's just my gut reaction to the names.

Honestly, I think Martha sounds like an old name. But, I once worked with a lady named Martha and she was great. I like Eileen - reminds me of that song "Come on Eileen".

I'm sorry but I do think Martha is too old sounding. I also picture Martha Stewart. Eileen is fine for a middle name, but I do think Eileen is too old-fashioned for a first name. I hope I didn't offend you, it's just my honest opinion.

Well, I do think of Martha Stewart when I hear the name Martha, and I have an older teacher named Aileen....so, perhaps I'm not the best person to ask, but I do think they're sort of 'older' names.
