NASA phoenix mission....

how much did nasa's phoenix mars mission cost? how long did it take? (to plan etc) and did australia have any involvement?

I believe it was about USD 260 million. Pretty cheap, really.

much less than it could have.

the name "Phoenix" came from the way parts for the mission were scavenged off of other missions.  This Frankenstein's monster has performed admirably so far.
