Question:

NASCAR 09 Problem turning

Everytime I race down a back straightaway the car moves left, slowly but surely, and I'm not even turning it. What's the problem? Is it the setup of the car?

  1. I noticed the same thing.  It sucks because having to "tap" right really kills my speeds at Daytona and Dega...which by the way, I cannot seem to win at.

  2. Very simple fix. Go to the last page of "Car Setup". At the bottom, you will see Steering Lock and Steering Trim. Trim is what determines how straight your car drives. The higher the number, the more it wants to go right. It should be on 2.5, and can go all the way to 5.0. I usually have it on 4.0, and it will drive straight. Also, the easier you have your Gameplay Settings on, the more it will attempt to "help" you by driving you down towards the yellow line, which means you will constantly be fighting the car by having to go right. So, if you have it set to Rookie, there isnt much you will be able to do.

    Hope this helps...

  3. No it's not the car. It's the game the sensitivity of the controller is making the car steer towards the left. It's like that with some of my NASCAR games. You just have to keep tapping the analog stick back to the right. It's the way the game developers have the control setup.

  4. It's how the cars are naturally set up. It is like that to help the car turn in the corner. That's how it's done. It's realistic to a point.
