NASCAR 2009 for PS3 or 360 - AI cars in accidents having no damage?

Question

Are there settings that you can change so that when a computer car is in an accident where it flips and rolls, it gets knocked out of the race instead of the wreck having no effect on it at all?

Yeah ive noticed it too, i have it for PS3 and its also been talked about in the nascar 09 forums. Some say its a glitch, it probably is. Hopefully a patch will be made because its incredible watching other cars involved in the big one, and at the end of it having no damage on them. Or it could be just a mistake by the developers, it is EA after all. I love them but sometimes they get things wrong, hey its only human, right?

As for the question, I've noticed it....and it doesn't appear that there's anything we can do about it.
