So I watched qualify'n today at darlington, as well as all of the pratices that were tevivised. And I noticed that this week all of the cars kind have a kind of "scew" look to them, the front kinda "leans" to the left and the rear end pokes out in the back. Im figuring that the teams have figured out a new way to set the chasies under the bodies and thats what gives the car a "scew" look. Now going back to last season the commentators said that one thing they like about the new car is that its totally simectrical, now this car isnt. I dont think its a bad thing for the sport, hey if NASCAR sets rules for a car and u can make ur car look the way the cars did todaym more power to ya. I dont think its a bad thing, what do you think?

  1. Yep we are seeing crooked cars once again trying to get the down force on that front clip. It was very noticeable yesterday.

  2. NASCAR, as I understand it, has given the teams 1/4" of variance in the mounting or the rear ends.  Carl Edwards' team who has been fastest all year long was the first to really set his car up this way. Pulling that right rear wheel up the 1/4" makes the car "crab" a little and turn better.  Many of the drivers were supposedly working on trying to mimic Carl's setup at the Lowe's test this week.  Its pretty much THE hot set up right now if they can make it work.

  3. Yes they are starting to mess around with the rear end housings to get more lateral down force .Some of the cars look like they are going sideways !
