  1. The type of racing these guys do would kill a FWD car. BTW this has been going on for almost 20yrs now, when GM discontinued the e-body Monte Carlo and Grand Prix, and replaced them with the FWD Lumina/Grand Prix. It continues this day with all except Dodge. And one white dude, the gas that NASCAR uses is about 175,000 gallons a year in the top series for a season, that's right one whole season equals less than what a major city uses up in a day. h**l a 747 flying from NY to Paris and back uses almost that much fuel in a round trip. So take your self-rightous speech, and go spout off somewhere else.

  2. The traction on a race car for front wheel drive was decided long ago, is not the most stable for racing.

Nascar rules only rear wheel drive cars are allowed.

they have tested over the years and keep ruling out front wheel drive........they sway too much

  3. nascar has set rules on the type of car that can be brought to the track rear wheel drive is one of them rules

  4. hmmm lemme just say this about GAS:

h**l yea, NASCAR sucks first of all, they go like 500 laps for no reason, and now that gas is so limited, it sucks even more.

People are saying dude shut up NASCAR gains us so much money.......Gasoline is not a renewable resource idiots, we can't buy something with NASCAR's money when it doesn't exist.  Use some common sense and understand that if NASCAR continues to guzzle the rest of our gas, we're gonna be screwed and pressed hard to make cars run on something else.

  5. all of the cars of nascar are rear wheel drive, but none are on the dealer lots,, and it because front wheel drive cars will not handle(or power slide) like a rear wheel car will, thus most all highway patrol cars are rear wheel drive for that very reason

  6. nascar cars arent stock cars  the only thing they have in common with the cars in the showroom are the name chevy dodge ford or toyota
