NASCAR to have 4 OFF Weekeneds starting in 2009?

What the heck?! Can NASCAR not restrain themselves from p'n the fans off on a regular basis? Why do we need a change to 4 off weekends? I know the schedule is tedious on drivers but I get mad enough on the current 2 off weekends we have.

What is NASCAR Nations thoughts on the schedule having 2 extra off weekends?

*I think it makes it worse that the last off weekend falls on my Bday, so that's disappointing*

We hit the mountains during off weekends, pack up the kids and dog, pop up a tent, go camping, hiking, fishing, swimming. Good times.

In March we go snowmobiling.

Don't forget about the crews on these teams too. The guys at the shop work year round, I am sure there will be a bit of a rest for them also with the extra time off.

As a fan, I like it. The season now goes 2 weeks longer so shorter break until the next season. Now just have to survive December and January instead of most of November on top of that...

In a perfect world for me, the drivers would be racing everyday.  The extra two weekends off kind of stink but the drivers deserve the time off.

Yeah it stinks not see racing for 4 weekends..But it gets you so much more pumped for the next race.

I don't care for the off weekends myself but understand why they would put them in the schedule.  It is a very long season combined with a short break before the next one, the crew members will appreciate the occasional break from their regular grind, to be with their families some.

I don't like the off weekends either but I can appreciate them needed a little more time to their families but I think with Nascar more than likely going to allow more open testing next year they will use some of that time off to test especially the big budget teams.

That just stinks!  I hate it any weekend they have off.  Sure I can understand it but I don't like it.  I live for race day.  

I feel for you with your Birthday too, it's always more fun to celebrate anything with a litle NASCAR action going on as well.
