NAT Type Problem (WTH is Bridging)?

Hi I've saved myself a few quid and used my PC as a router for my wireless connection. However, I'm finding changing my NAT Type to open a problem. I have a BT Homehub and the automatic setting is strict. On a site i found this answer. "You must be connected direct to the Homehub via ethernet or wireless, if you connect to a PC you must use Bridging." Can someone please tell me what this means, and how I can do it please? Thanks

  1. The following ports must be available for Xbox LIVE to operate correctly:

    • UDP 88

    • UDP 3074

    • TCP 3074

or you can set your 360s IP to DMZ to allow ALL the ports to be open.  Its your choice but the ports MUST be open for your NAT to be open.  Good luck

  2. To learn how to bridge go to my post on this page http://uk.answers.yahoo.com/question/ind...

or you could also learn how to do through these sites

    or here too

but you don't need to do it if you can open up the ports like the above poster says.....to open up the ports log on to your router then go the gaming tab and put the ports you need to open...i have a linksys router not a BT Homehub so i can't really be specific...check google on how to Forward ports and you'll find out how

If you don't know how to open the ports then bridging is the best option....i personally bridge through my laptop to connect to xbox live its easy and saves $99 off buying a wireless adapter
