its simple.

i wanna know how to plant.

please teach me.

anything would do

-seeds, beans, etc..

how do we plant simple things like green bean n stuff?

i saw a website on a seed garden, but keep on failing

the beans that im trying to grow, keeps on giving out some smelly odor.

so please teach me how to plant!

In most places i've planted, most of the time it was as simple as tilling the soil, making it softish, forming a row, planting the seeds 1 to 2 inches deep and watering it in the mornings just before the sun came up or was still low in the morning sky.

If your getting a funny smell and having that much bad luck, it might just be your soil. It might be full of oil, chemicals, maybe even f***s. You never know what car might have been parked there in the past, or who might be using it as a midnight dumping spot. Maybe there's over-run from your neighbors that's carrying a variety of not so nice chemicals that is interferring with the natural germination process.

Using cotton wool as soil is fine but soil has certain nutrition that are needed for the plant. Also, earthworms in soil play a big part. Therefore, i suggest that you might want to use soil instead of cotton.

I've planted green beans before. I've failed before but once i managed to get some "harvests" [green beans out of 1 green bean].

My mother used to tell me that you have to see whether the seed is old enough to plant it.

1. Put 2 - 3 seeds in the pot. Try not to put too many so as not to cause overcrowding.

2. Water the seed [not too much, just make sure it is moist]

3. However, germinating seeds need warmth [as seeds do not need to photosynthesize, they do not need sunlight]

4. It should have germinated in about 3-5 days time. [if it doesn't, be patient and wait.]

5. When it's first true leaves grow, make sure you put it somewhere where there's sunlight. photosynthesis]

6. As your plants grow bigger, more water and sunlight is needed.

When i planted green bean, a smelly odor was given out too. But i think there's nothing wrong with it.

I'm sure you'll succeed one day! Keep trying and don't give up!

When you purchase the seeds at your local garden center, the packets will have all the information you need printed on the back.  It will tell you how deep to sow the seeds, how far apart the seeds need to be, what kind of sun exposure it needs, when to water, when they will germinate (or start to grow), how to thin them out, and approximately how many days it will take before you can pick.  Good luck and have fun!
