What is the pay scale, and what kinds of benefits/bonuses are there for the navy seals special ops? I don't care about the money, I would do it for free, I have dreamed my entire life to be a seal and will be one, but I have a fiancee and a 1yr old little girl that need to be taken care of. Just a general idea would be great. Thanks a lot guys.

  1. The others have posted some good basic info and here is some more:

    SEAL Enlisted Special Pays

SEAL Combat Swimmers (NEC 5326), SEAL Delivery Vehicle Operators (NEC 5323) are eligible for the following Special Pays and Bonuses

Enlistment Bonus: $40,000 (Paid upon final qualification as SEAL)

    “First-Term” Reenlistment Bonus $60,000

    Selective Reenlistment Bonus $75,000

Critical Skills Retention Bonus Maximum $150,000 for SEAL and SWCC Senior Enlisted (E-6 to E-9) and Warrant Officers

Special Duty Assignment Pay $450 (monthly)

    Dive Pay  $215 - $340 (monthly)

    Demolition Pay $150 (monthly)

    Parachute Pay $150 - $225

    Foreign Language Pay (monthly/when qualified)

I know you said you would do it for free but all that pain and suffering in training (and in war)and to feed a family, you'll be a fool to do it for free. If you need to just care of your familiy you can just the Navy and pick a safer job. Joining the SEALS is about a new lifestyle and a new 'family' to take on.

Do your research and then make your decision....

  2. All ranks/rates get the same amount of Basic Pay depending on the # of years they have in.   Then there is Special pays and allowances after that depending on your job, your location, etc...  For the best information go to:  http://www.dfas.mil/militarypay/military...

Now you may get a bonus but you have to complete all the training before they will pay it out, especially with the SEALs and their percentage of succesful candidates.

Your fiance will not get any benefits what so ever as she is just that.  Your child will have medical, dental and base access.

  3. Right now they are offering a cash bonus to sign up. Around $25,000, I think. But that changes monthly and would depend on when you actually signed up.

After that, they get the same pay and benefits as any other enlisted person as seen on this table: http://www.militarypay.com/MilitaryBasic...
