NAvy Women only: I would like to join the Navy but need reassurance, how is Navy life for you?

I got out 10 years ago but I loved it.  If I didn't have children I would have stayed in.  The first year is a little tough but once you get out of school and boot camp it's gravy from there.  I was stationed on a Destroyer out of Norfolk, Va for 3 years.  Life on the ship sucks but there are port calls and you don't have to live on the ship if you choose a sea-going rate.
