  1. We actually went out and bought newborn and premie clothes after my daughter was born because she didnt' fit into 0-3... Still at 13 weeks she barely fits into 0-3 months. She was 7lbs 12oz at birth too. She's just a tiny baby though, like my sister. My sisters 21 years old and can eat anything around and still weighs about 95lbs and is about 5'3", she too was a tiny baby like that.

  2. i would skip the NB size. my baby was born with HUGE feet and not many of the newborn sleepers would fit her because of that. the ones that did, she grew out of in a week.

  3. i would take one of each; my dd is a little over 2 mos and some of her nb onesies and such still fit, and the 0-3s swallow her; she's very long, so her legs are what doesn't fit into the nb stuff, her nb pants look like capris!! she was 7lbs 6 oz and her nb stuff that she still wears has plenty of room for her still, she can still wear her nb dresses and such also, bc she is a string bean...but she is not underweight, just long....she's a  healthy percentile for her age....just really depends on how much your baby weighs and how they are built...she is just now able to wear a lot of her nb dresses as they were all too big around for her until now....maybe pack a small bag of each too and label them and if you find you need more than you have of one or the other have hub come home and get them; i wouldn't take the tags off of too many things, esp the nb size incase you need to return them bc they don't fit; and i found that carter's onesies are a little longer than the gerbers, and they didn't seem to shrink any but the gerbers seemed to shrink just a bit; but she still wears both, i just have trouble finding pants that are long enough and not too big around and same with sleepers, LOL

AND NEWBORN IS NOT THE SAME AS 0-3

as i mentioned above, she has nb and 0-3 carter onesies and there is a significant diff in the sizes of the two, the 0-3 are very , very loose on her, and the nb fit well....ppl are nutz

  4. 0-3 is the best size. I brought that with me to the hospital for my daughter's take-home outfit and it was only a tiny bit big. Every manufacturer is a little different.

  5. I ended up going to the store and getting more NB stuff for my daughter.  The 0-3 just didn't fit her as well right away.  She was 8lb 4oz at birth, so she was pretty big.  I found that Carter's Newborn size fit much differently than the 0-3 stuff and it fit her much better.

Good luck with the new little one!  :)  Congrats!

  6. Go with the bigger size. But if you are planning on having one of those professional hospital pics taken, you make want to get one cute outfit in NB size.  So it looks good for the pic.

  7. It really depends on the size of your baby.  When I had twins they were in a newborn size and they were 6 lbs but my new baby was 8 lbs and in 0-3 month size.  You might want one or two outfits in the newborn size since the 0-3 months were way too big for my twins.  You could leave the tags on and return it if you have an average size baby.

    Good Luck!

  8. 0-3 is the same as newborn...

  9. 0 - 3 months is best, babies at that age grow so fast with just newborn sizes they would only wear them once or twice before getting to long or too chubby.

  10. I would use NB size for the hospital, my daughter was 7 lb 2 oz and she was swimming in the 0-3 month size. She also didn't fit into NB compleatly for about 1 and a 1/2 months. But for everything else 0-3 works nice, but I would say if your planning on taking a lot of pictures, it will be nice to have something cute she fits in. My daughter only wore her coming home outfit one other time and now it is in her keepsake box. Good luck and congratulations! =)

  11. My baby was 6lbs. 6oz. and 19.75 inches long.  He wore preemie clothes for the first 3 weeks or so.  Then he wore NB clothes til he was 6 weeks old.  The 0-3 months clothes fit him up til 3 months.  It all depends on how big your baby is in the beginning.  0-3 months clothing swallowed my baby for the first 6 weeks so having smaller clothes was definitely worth it.

  12. What I did was use the new born clothes the first week, then went to 0-3 months...My son weighed 7lbs 14 oz...22 inches long and he swam in the newborn outfits.

  13. 0-3 is great, believe me they grow quick and it's fine if it's a little big on him/her for a while.

  14. it depends on your baby's weight but real i would go for 3 to 6 months size  good luck with your baby it sounds like your the best women for this baby good luck my prays are with you and yours keep up the good work mom

  15. 0-3 months is better then nb because it's bigger

  16. My son didn't fit into 0-3 months clothing, he wasn't small when he was born (7 lbs) but the 0-3 months are made so freakin big these days. My son fit into a preemie or NB clothing on the way home from the hospital. He's almost 6 months and still fits into some 0-3 months clothing and some 3-6.

  17. Alyssa only wore newborn clothes for a week, but she did wear NB clothes home from the hospital.

Make sure they are loose fitting though. Some brands make the sleeves and foot holes on long-sleeved clothes really tight for newborn sizes.

  18. when my daughter was born i had a packed her a nb dress and wen i put it on her it was still to big. its hard to determine how big and long the babies are going to be

  19. Actually I brought a newborn size to the hospital and that was even big on the baby. She wasn't very big but not very small either,  6lbs 13 oz. I remember I had to roll the sleeves up for her and the feet hung way down.  But you are right about the growing into part...by like 3 weeks she had already filled out that outfit and was in the 0-3 months size and it seems she didn't last long in that size either.  I guess you don't really know. Good luck!!

  20. actually, newborn is slightly smaller than 0-3 - but i would go with 0-3 to ensure it fits!  you can also roll the sleeves/pants up if they are a little long!  Good luck!

  21. I bought newborn and 0-3m. I brought a couple of each size to the hospital. My kids all fit into the newborn size at first. Then a few weeks later wore the 0-3m.

  22. i would go with the 0-3 months. If they are to long you can just roll up the sleeves. At least baby will grow into it!

    Good Luck!!!
