Question:

NBA 1 on 1 Tournaments (Day 4)?

These are the usernames that made it to the championship:

Beasley & Wade

BH

These are the winners of the three separate tournaments:

PG: Chris Paul

Off-Guard: Kobe Bryant

Post: Kevin Garnett

Now these three will have a round robin tournament to decide the best 1 on 1 player in the game. Who will win? A guard because he uses his quickness and speed to school the post? A post because he just backs down the smaller, lighter guard until he gets and easy lay-up?

Explain why you chose who you chose in each game.

Round-Robin Tournament

Game 1: Chris Paul vs. Kobe Bryant

Game 2: Chris Paul vs. Kevin Garnett

Game 3: Kobe Bryant vs. Kevin Garnett

At the end of your answer tell me the overall record of each person. Example- Paul: 2-0; Kobe: 1-1; Garnett: 0-2

  1. Is this really happening in real life? or is it on a video game or something? If its real life, thats awesome I always wondered why they didnt do this but I guess they do..Ok..I would say..

Game1: kobe because he has the speed to stay with Paul and the height advantage also.

Game2:Garnett because he can easily back down Paul and with his length can get some nice blocks.

Game3:Kobe, I dont really know why..I think his elevation he could get some good shots..and he's not that short so KG cant back him down as easily as Paul, plus Kobe is a terrific Defender.

    Paul 0-2

    Kobe 2-0

    Garnett 1-1

Is this really going on? Where can I see the results?

  2. You might need a tie breaker.

    Game 1

Chris Paul defeats Kobe Bryant, with dogging defense, and a late steal and score to break a tie game.

    CP 1-0;  KB 0-1; KG 0-0

    Game 2

Kevin Garnett defeats Chris Paul with shot blocking ability, and an inside game that Paul couldn't answer.

    CP 1-1 KB 0-1; KG 1-0

    Game 3

Kobe Bryant has his outside game and athletic ability working to a tee, he moves around Garnett and creates under the basket to avoid Garnett's shot block attempts, and he is able to limit Garnett to fewer offensive rebounds.

    CP 1-1; KB 1-1; KG 1-1

PS. this could be a great sport I would love to see this for real.

  3. Garnett 2-0, Kobe 1-1, Paul 0-2.

1.Kobe: He is bigger and a better shooter. He'll dunk on CP3 anyday. Paul isn't really a scorer. If you have a one on one Game, use Iverson or Arenas instead as your point guard.

2.Garnett: He is bigger and will shoot over the guard while he is athletic and speedy for a big man so he can keep up with Paul on the defensive end.

    3. This is a tough one. I'd say Garnett for the same reason as number 2. If Tim Duncan were in here instead of KG, I'd go with Kobe but Garnett is different.

  4. Gm 1: Bryant beats Paul. Easily. Bryant would score on him. He has a much wider skill set. & Paul is having trouble scoring. While Kobe can score in so many ways on him.

Gm 2: Garnett wins. I think KG would score on a huge percentage of his possessions. And hed give a few feet when guarding Paul, making him take tough jumpers, KGs long arms would still get in his face. Paul wouldnt be able to get by because KG wouldnt guard him tight at all and if he gained a step, Garnett would contest at the rim.

Gm 3: Really tough choice. Im picking KOBE BRYANT though. I think Kobe can score on KG pretty well, because if he lays off too much, hes a lights out shooter and if hes able to drive he can finish at the rim, because KG is a great defender but not exactly a shot blocker. I think Kobe would be a decent match against him defensively. Bryant is really strong and can at least hold his own a little inside. And KG would rely on his turn around which is good in the 1st quarter, not so much in the clutch.

    KOBE wins 2-0

    KG: 1-1

    CP3: 0-2

  5. It was obvious that Kobe (and Paul) were going to be picked as the winners in previous round. There are some players that are named to be winner all the way, in every situation. Picking Kobe, as I said in my latest answer, was the easiest way to look at that matchup. And Paul; Are you serious? it's very very wonderful that with the players like AI, Nash and Parker, he is the picked PG for the finals. Although I still don't agree with this finals, but I don't care. Maybe Kobe is supposed to win this again, isn't he? However if I were going to choose I would go with KG.

  6. Ok this is touph....... Ok

Game 1: Kobe Bryant(well Kobe has the size on his side and they are about equal in speed CP3 might be a little faster but as I like to say SIZE IS IMPORTANT. Because when Kobe taller than Paul by like 6 in. then it's going be really easy to score on him and to defend him. But since Kobe has the size and is about the same on speed would beat out CP3. CP3 also would win in steals but Kobe has pretty good ball-handling skills and wouldn't create to much TO. Kobe would also limit CP3's rebounds and rebounds are big in an one on one game)

Game 2: Kevin Garnett(Now this isn't to tough. WHY? because look at Garnett and look at Paul. I mean KG is 11 in. taller than Paul so it is going tobe SO easy dunking shooting over him all he has to do is protect the ball then go near the goal and dunk. He would block out CP3 if he was trying to layup or shoot unless he puts his speed in the game but he can tire easily while Garnett won't due to the fact he doesn't have to use to much energy. Same thing REBOUNDS and KG has the size and get way more rebounds than CP3!! Oh CP3 may be faster than KG but KG is speedy for his size. If it was Duncan then that would be dif. since Duncan is slow but KG is pretty fast for his size but CP3 is faster, however KG will use exp. and size to beat out CP3. So KG would still win)

Game 3: Kevin Garnett(this kind of tough but KG edges out because Kobe's FG% is worse than Pauls so KG would back off on defending. He would do the same thing against Kobe as he would do against CP3. He wouldn't need to protect the ball but still needs to because Kobe's stealing ability is worse than CP3's but can still steal a little. KG will still outrebound Kobe since he's 5 inches taller and KG will have no trouble considering he used to have to rebound over Yao, Dirk, Tim, etc. It would be the same as KG vs. CP3 but since Kobe is a little slower than CP3 KG would be actually compare a little in speed. But seeing in games that Kobe doesn't take it to the basket would shoot outside shots while his 3 point % is 40 he won't be making them. KG will dominate since Kobe can't do anything. KG just post and post up and next to the basket then dunk and try to get fouled KG does this and he wins. KG not being a shot blocker as BH says but against some dude 5 INCHES shorter I think he will do some blocking. Kobe is lights out??? Well just wondering because in the Finals when he shot against someone shorter than him by 1 inch Ray Allen did he make them no. Only made 7 out of 22 and like 8 of them were 3's and he only made 3. Now if he did that against someone smaller than him how is he going to do it against someone like half a foot taller than him? BAD. He will be missing more shots than ever. Plus the pressure is all in Kobe's head... Always thinking when will I be able to win a title without Shaq??? While KG just won his title the pressure will go away so KG wins!)

    Paul:0-2

    Kobe: 1-1

    Winner!! Garnett: 2-0

I like Paul but he can't compare to the tougher more musculare SG's and PF's. However if he is facing REALLY slow ones like Shaq and Duncan then yea he might win but against an average speeded KG he will lose.

Is the nxt Tournamen goign to be like this? just wondering or are you goign to go with my idea??
