NBA Finals: The survival of the fittest, Miami Heat vs. Los Angeles Lakers (Part 2)
Continuing with the list of players’ battles that would emerge if the Miami Heat faces the Los Angeles Lakers in the NBA Finals this season we have 1 more breathtaking encounter left to mention along with severe competition in 1 area.
If this NBA Final takes place, experts are speculating both teams to take the battle to 7 games in the series. Not only this, the Los Angeles Lakers is expected to emerge as eventual winner due to their past victories. On the contrary, the Miami Heat has
the talented roster out of the two but would need some time to gel together to perform as a single successful unit.
Phil Jackson versus Erik Spoelstra
Phil Jackson is one of the greatest Head Coaches of all times with his 11 NBA titles, 13 Conference titles and the title of the best Head Coach in 1996.
Erik Spoelstra outshines in the business too. This Head Coach is getting his players ready not only for championship level team in the department of offense but is working on their defence too. If the team manages to perform these abilities, then he can
surely win the Head Coach of the Year award.
According to legends of the game, all Erik Spoelstra needs to do is not lose games while playing on their home. This would help him in achieving the individual goals as well as leading the Miami Heat to silverware.
Los Angeles Lakers back court versus the Miami Heat back court
The Los Angeles Lakers have always been lucky to have excellent personnel to fill in the spot of swingmen. To the already-talented squad they have, the Los Angeles Lakers was able to add another capable player in Matt Barnes to their squad.
Now that the Lakers roster has players like Derek Fisher, Shannon Brown and Luke Walton, they are a stronger team than last time. This provides the Lakers with diversity in their squad ranging from excellent shooters and ball handlers to athletic players.
The 2nd round pick of this year for the Los Angeles Lakers, Devin Ebanks needs to work hard to earn his position in the starting line-up.
If we compare to the Miami Heat backcourt credentials, then they have notable names of Mike Miller and Eddie House added to their squad. But the biggest attraction to the squad is that of Patrick Beverly. Patrick is one player who could give the Miami Heat
a perfect stopper and cut down any attacks made from the wings by the opposing teams.
The Los Angeles Lakers are the stronger of the two since they have a squad that is solid from top to bottom. However, the Miami Heat excels in three-points department that would surely help their cause.
All in all, who is top team?
If we look at statistics and the list of talented players, then apparently the Miami Heat win the race. The trio of LeBron James, Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade if manage to perform as expected, they can surely take the Miami Heat to new heights of success.
And if the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant want to complete the three-peat, then Kobe Bryant would need to out-class the trio not once not twice but four times during the course of the series. This, according to NBA analysts, is highly unlikely to happen
unless Kobe can combine all the talent he has with the 81 points scoring form.
This brings us to the question: What can help him over power the Miami Heat dream-come- true trio?
The answer to this question is very simple. Not only Kobe Bryant has to perform to the best of his abilities, but he has to squeeze career changing performances from his teammates along the way. If he is successful in doing so, then Kobe can surely make
himself known as one of the greatest players in the NBA.
