NBA Free Agent market heats up Toronto Raptors will lose Chris Bosh

Aside from the playoff fever, NBA addicts have also focused their attention to various off season moves. Some big names in the league revealed that they will try to test the free agent market.
After his team failed to win a championship this season, Cleveland front man Lebron James remained silent about speculations that he will join New York Knicks next season. Dwayne Wade is also expressing his desire to be in a championship caliber team.

Joe Johnson of Atlanta Hawks, Dirk Nowitzki of Dallas Mavericks and Carlos Boozer of Utah Jazz are being eyed by teams like New York Knicks, L.A Lakers, and Chicago Bulls.
But for a franchise who wants to beef up their frontline and establish their inside game, a perennial forward-center is absolutely needed. Among all teams, who are at risk in losing their franchise player, Toronto Raptors seemed to be the top favorite. Failed to win a single playoff series in his tenure with Raptors, Chris Bosh seemed to be very certain in leaving the ball club, where he played for seven seasons.

The 6th overall pick in star studded 2003 Draft, has a career average of 20.2 points per game, 9.4 Rebounds per game and 49% from the field. Despite of these impressive numbers, it’s not enough for his ball club to be in a championship. They qualified only twice in post season as compared to five losing seasons. The only bright spot that he has with the Raptors was a Division Title in 2006-2007 season. If Bosh finally decided to leave Toronto, Miami and Portland will be a good fit for a player like him.

In a scenario that Bosh decides to go to Miami, he will team up with Dwayne Wade, will be reunited with Jermaine O’Neal and will be playing alongside young Michael Beasely and bruiser Udonis Haslem. With an intact frontline, it seems that the South Beach ball club will put another championship banner to their rafters in 2 to 3 years.

Another franchise that will surely benefit from Bosh arrival is a rising young ball club, Portland Trail Blazers. With rumors that the management was disappointed with the performance of La Marcus Aldrige in his two post season stints, Bosh is perfect fit for the young roster of the Blazers.

How would he fit in the Portland system?

If they sign Bosh and trade Aldrige and Rudy Fernandez in return, Blazers will establish one of the best starting line ups in the league. With Camby teaming up him in the front court, Nicolas Batum at the wing and Andre Miller and Brandon Roy running the backcourt, the Blazers are in good position in outmatching their rivals in the West. Add the bench power of Greg Oden, Joe Pryzbilla,Martell Webster and Jerald Bayless. With this scenario, Blazers will be looking to form a championship caliber team and even a dynasty in the making. It only means that Bosh is the final piece in order to do this.

Portland has a better chance in giving Bosh a championship ring as compared to Miami

Miami is one powerhouse franchise who can possibly establish their reign in the Eastern Conference in the next few years. But this will not be easy with the presence of equally powerhouse teams like Cleveland, Orlando, and Boston. Atlanta is also considered as a huge barrier for Heat’s title quest. With Portland, they will have the ability to match up in every position even against giant team like L.A Lakers.

Although, Bosh’s future is still hanging in the air, and all these predictions remain to be unproven, one thing is sure; he does not like to end his career without wearing anything to his finger, which happened to some of the greatest big men in the league like Karl Malone, Charles Barkley and Patrick Ewing.
