LeBron James to make a decsion?
The dramatic NBA free-agency that’s pace is as slow as a snail, the big players can’t seem to make up their mind or they just like the unnecessary drama that has been created because of them.
Finally the God of basketball that everyone has been waiting for has finally taken one step towards salvation. ESPN reported that James will make an official announcement about his future plans in a one-hour special on ESPN at 9 p.m. Chris Broussard a sports analyst for ESPN, said that LeBrons representatives requested for a one-hour special in which they could sell sponsorship. ESPN has approved of the proposal but they were not told what James decision is.
LeBron is a two-time MVP winner and at the moment is the most wanted free-agent in NBA, or as experts say they have never seen such hype created for any player in the NBA history. The stellar free-agent class also features Chris Bosh and Dwyane Wade. The two have not made it to public what their intentions are as well, but it has been confirmed that the stars have met with, Miami Heat, New York Knicks, Chicago Bulls, New Jersey Net, Los Angeles Clippers and Cleveland Cavaliers.
The Associated Press contacted ESPN’s spokesman Josh Krulewitz and Keith Estrabrook who is The Kings publicist for comments on his future plan but they were declined. AP also made a desperate attempt by contacting his agent Leon Rose and business manager Maverick Carter but they did not reply to any emails or return phone calls.
James made the news again today when he opened up a Twitter account and posted "Hello World, the Real King James is in the Building” at the social networking site. James had almost 200,000 followers by 11 p.m. Although once again his friends were anxious to know what his decision was but he posted no further comment on the website.
It was confirmed by Estabrook that the super star was officially part of ‘Twitter’, All though in the past James had made fun of various friends for sharing information about their private life and making it public through a social networking site.
James was caught by the press outside Rhodes Arena where he spent six hours playing basketball with his former teammates from Cleveland Cavaliers against high school campers. He ignored the press while driving off in his Doge pickup. Later when teammate Daniel Gibson was on his way to the exit the reporters asked if he could enlighten them regarding LeBrons future plans, Gibson said he was here to have fun and hangout with his friend LeBron not to do business.
However, there have been reports that a sign-and-trade deal could take underway between the Toronto Raptors and Cleveland Cavalier for Chris Bosh and in fact rumours speculate that James has been trying to persuade Bosh to join Cleveland.
At the moment all three, James, Bosh and Wade are have not committed to any team, but apparently the Cavaliers have their fingers crossed because they very well know the deal between them and the Raptors is quite possible and the fact that it could be a dream come true playing against LeBron and would be definitely get a $125M contract for six-years.
On the other hand an official from the New York Nets management disclosed that if the James rejects their offer which was presented to him by hip-hop mogul Jay-Z and billionaire Mikhail Prokhorov, they plan on going for forward Carlos Boozer who plays for the Utah Jazz.
The only team that has been constructive in the free-agency is the Nicks. The New York Nicks finally made a deal with big centre Amar’e Stoudemire agreeing upon a five-year deal, but did they do so because LeBron actually rejected them? Well no body is sure, since James and his entourage are keeping things to themselves leaving the world cheerless.
Tomorrow is the day, the day when LeBron James finally shares his future plans with the world, hopefully will not disappoint us by going back to a boring team like Cleveland Cavaliers.
