NBA: Miami Heat’s future?
After the hype about the Miami Heat team when LeBron James took his talents to the South Beach, they haven’t shown the best or what they were expected to. The Miami Heat has had a terrible run so far with their leader and star player Dwyane
Wade out injured.
The Miami Heat roster comprises of players like Dwyane Wade who has been in business for 7 years, LeBron James with 7 years also, Chris Bosh has the same number as well and other experienced players include the likes of Juwan Howard has
an astounding 16 years of experience behind him.
The Miami Heat team led by Erik Spoelstra was expected to come up with mind blowing wins, demolishing the opposition but this hasn’t been the case so far. The Miami Heat saw their star player, Dwyane Wade suffer hamstring injury that ruled
him out for a couple of games in the NBA preseason which affected their results a lot.
The Boston Celtics are the main team that is expected to give the Miami Heat a tough time in the running for a place in the NBA Finals this upcoming season. Experts said that the Boston Celtics lacked in terms of energy due to the fact
that all their players were no more youngsters and couldn’t cope with the heat of the season but they proved this wrong.
The Miami Heat roster has LeBron James and Chris Bosh who have more of a support role to perform. LeBron James certainly made a statement as he bagged points on regular basis touching the 33 point mark. Chris Bosh on the other hand has
been a very good supporting cast who has given the Miami Heat the diversity in play.
The Miami Heat have lost 3 games and won 4 games during the preseason that ended this past Friday. The Miami Heat started off the preseason winning the opening 3 games which weren’t convincing by their standards. Ending the preseason with
3 games losing streak has resulted in many pointing in disappointment towards Miami Heat once again. Heat and their trio haven’t clicked yet and according to many this might be the case throughout the next season.
Though players like LeBron James clicked but it should be kept in mind that it was only when Dwayne Wade was out after injury. After that LeBron James burst out bagging huge points despite playing less minutes.
The Boston Celtics on the other hand a lot to say on the topic including words of encouragement, for instance, that they a group of men who are talented by old. After they signed Shaquille O’Neal their roster had loads of experience and
talent but they lacked young blood.
Players like Kevin Garnett and Paul Pierce are all very talent but they are no more the young guns that they once were. But the resume they give tells a whole different story; they have won the NBA title in 2008 and made it to the Finals
this year only to lose to the Los Angeles Lakers.
The Boston Celtics started the preseason unconvincingly but as the preseason moved on they managed to come up with good performances. What really gives the Boston Celtics an advantage over teams like Los Angeles Lakers and especially Miami
Heat is the fact that they don’t depend on players. Their game depends on how they combine together. This can very well be explained by the 7 wins out of the 8 matches they managed to register during the preseason. Not only did they silence their critics but
they cement their position as a strong contender for the title.
Now coming to the question as to who is better? Miami Heat or the Boston Celtics?
If we talk about statistics, than the Miami Heat is undoubtedly the better of the two as they have young players compared to the Boston Celtics that are flooded with talent. But the fact that they are not able to combine together has gone
against them and may pay prove to be disastrous for the team if this continues.
The Miami Heat might be giving the impression that they haven’t combined and burst at the start of the season to win games. If this is the case, then they have successfully done it but if not than they would have loads of problems up on
their hands to deal with.
