How do you think the NBA Offseason has gone so far?

Here is my take with grades:

What do you think of the grades I gave? Agree or disagree? What would you change?

  1. I would have given the Wizards a C or a C-. They didn't do something stupid like give up Arenas and Butler for Kwame Brown or something. And Arenas was injured last season, so before they make big changes they should see what happens this season. And the Kings should have gotten a F, they gave up Ron Artest for pretty much nothing except a washed up benchwarmer and a rookie. I also would have given the Nets a D, they're sacrificing any hope of winning and giving up their best players, for the slim chance of Lebron coming in 2010.

  2. Why did you only do 18 teams? Where are the rest of them?

  3. i dont see how 80 mill for luol deng is reasonable money. if anything, that is retarded. deng regressed last year and yet he gets more than the bulls were offering him last year?

i also dont think turiaf is sucky. sure the warriors overpaid a little but they had to ensure the lakers wouldnt match. he hasnt really been given a chance to show his offensive skills in LA. so i wouldnt call him sucky.

i also dont agree with him saying the rockets gave up nothing. they basically gave 2 1st round picks. donte greene has a lot of potential, i see him becoming a rashard lewis type player. and dont underestimate the power of any 1st round pick even if it is a low one because tony parker and josh howard were very low picks. arenas, ellis, boozer, ginobili, and redd were all 2nd round picks.

pacers a B? haha, they should receive a C at best for trading away jerryd bayless who is looking like a star. why would you want rush when you already have granger and dunleavy? yea sure they got TJ Ford but he is injury prone as h**l. he is 1 concussion from being out of the nba.

i dont agree with the kings getting a D. i thought they came out good in the deal with houston. as i said with houston, dont ever undervalue a 1st round draft pick. plus it was addition by subtraction. whats the point of having a pissed of star player? only bad can come out of it.

A+ for toronto? i like the JO deal but an A+??? JO is injury prone as h**l. what happens if he goes down? then teams are just going to double up bosh again.

F for the wizards? a little harsh dont you think? i do think they overpaid arenas by a ton but i dont think it deserved an F. keeping their 3 key players was a great thing.

  4. Thanks for giving the Raptors A+, I totally agree.

  5. I don't agree with the grade you gave the Warriors or your description of Baron Davis as average.  That is an exceptionally asinine statement.  Injury prone yes.  But average?  Give me a break.  The guy should have been an all-star last season, but was blatantly robbed by voters.  I was cool with the Ws not resigning him, but then they turn around and give a combined $14M to Maggette and Turiaf.  Maggette is almost as injury ridden as Diddy.  I wouldn't characterize Turiaf as sucky.  He is a solid bench player, but there is no denying the guy is getting paid way too much.

I would give the Ws a B at best.

    FYI:  It's Pietrus, not Peitrus.
