NBA Playoffs 2010-11: Chicago Bulls in a perfect position to rout the Indiana Pacers - Part 2
Besides the sizzling performance of Rose, the Chicago Bulls’ guard-forward Kyle Korver has also emerged as a prominent figure, especially down the stretch, when the heat
is on. Korver has so far been the man to bank on, in the nervy moments of the game and has played a vital in pulling off game breaking treys for the Bulls.
In both games so far in the series, the Indiana Pacers could not fulfil their dream of an upset due to some exhilarating long range shooting by Korver.
The general manager of the Bulls, Gar Forman, praised the Korver’s effort and said, “His ability to space the floor to give Derrick and other guys room to operate has really
been key.’’ “As we put the team together, we put a premium on makeup and character. And there is not a better guy around than Kyle. He is a true pro. He has been a terrific fit.’’
However, the punch line of the last two contests has been the brilliance of Rose.
Indiana blew two golden chances to win as they do not have any player who can explode late in the game. The Bulls, on the other hand, do not have that problem. The lone
reason is Rose. He has simply been unstoppable in the fourth quarter of both games so far and is fast getting a reputation of one of the best finishers in the National Basketball Association (NBA).
Gar Forman was all praise for Rose, who is the downright favourite to grab the MVP award this season.  “He is the most incredible kid you had ever wanted to meet,’’ “He
is humble, grounded, and quiet. And he is a killer on the floor.”
For the Indiana Pacers however, not all the water has passed under the bridge and there are still five games left to make things happen. The Pacers have to change their
strategies in the fourth quarter if they want to overcome the Bulls. They have to hound Rose somehow. Rose has averaged 37.5 points, seven rebounds, and six assists in the previous two games and has been allowed way too much room to manoeuvre. The Pacers have
to set tighter screens on him and at the same time they have to avoid fouling him.
The Pacers interim coach Frank Vogel is confident that his team has the ability to bounce back. Vogel said, "We have stood toe to toe with this team," he said. "We know
we can play with this team, we know we can beat this team. We expect to beat this team in Game 3."
The third and fourth games are scheduled at the home court of the Pacers, Conseco Fieldhouse, and they would be taking full advantage of it. Therefore, the Bulls have to
score baskets from the start of the game and they have to provide Rose with more opportunities to score. At the same time, Chicago cannot be very dependent on Rose and the rest of the roster has to assists him in the struggle to sweep the Pacers in the series.
