NBA Preview: Boston Celtics vs Chicago Bulls
When and Where?
The Boston Celtics will host the Chicago Bulls at their home ground tonight at 8:00 pm at TD Garden, Boston, MA.
Players to watch
The Chicago Bulls have added Carlos Boozer to their team aiming to become one of the toughest teams of the league.
Though they will have to be very patient and give Boozer a little time in order to inculcate in him the team aims and then get from him what they want. It so appears that they will have to go a long way in order to reach the rank that the Boston Celtics
have reached.
Boozer did not give the Bulls a very happy start on Friday night when they faced a disappointing loss at the hands of the Denver Nuggets 98-97. They better be careful of the Celtics as the Celtics have won five straight in a row.
It so happened that the Chicago Bulls (9-7) were coming back home after a 4-3 circus road trip which was their first winning record in the annual two week journey that they made in 1997. Having Boozer finally in the lineup they were more than tempted to
face the Southeast Division leading Orlando on Wednesday, only to be disappointed later on.
The Bulls despite their efforts to show that they can hit up against one of the league’s best teams were reduced to an embarrassing 107-78 loss.
Derrick Rose could only score his season low 15 points that was 10.8 lesser than his team leading average. Joakim Noah who has second most average of 12.4 rebounds in the NBA could not grab any in 25 minutes. The Bulls had to endure 23 rebounds by the opposite
team and made a franchise low record of 21 boards.
Boozer could only gather five points and grabbed two rebounds in the 22 minutes of his play. He looked meek and tired due to a return after he had a broken right hand. The only things evident about his performance were that he had missed a preseason and
also the start of the regular season.
"I think our team (is) a lot better than we showed," was all that Boozer could say, "We're going to move forward." Lets see Boozer.
Chicago Bulls are imploring their ways to make a rank as one of the conference’s best teams along with Orlando Magic and Boston Celtics. The Bulls did succeed in pushing their way against the Celtics on Nov, 5 when they topped them with a 110-105 loss but
after their defeat on Wednesday, its hard to imagine what their future might be.
"We have to fight a lot harder," Tom Thibodeau said later.
Kevin Garnett scored 17 points on Wednesday, Glen Davis had 16, and Shaquille O’Neal contributed 14. The Celtics have been successful in outscoring the opponent teams by 16.4 points in the paint whilst having their winning streak.
Seven of the Boston Celtics players scored in double figures in their first matchup with the Bulls. Ray Allen had 25 points to glow the box score for his team. Noah scored 26 points and grabbed 12 rebounds, Rose had 18 points and dished out nine assists.
They will be lucky as they will face Chicago Bulls who were outscored by Orlando Magic, in a 46-26 loss. Anxiously looking forward to clinch a victory against a vulnerable team the Boston Celtics move ahead tonight.
