NBA – Ranking the Iron Men of the game today (Part 4)
Coming to the top two players in the list of iron men of NBA we have a very talented and one veteran player. Unlike some of the drama queens in the NBA who failed to stand up from even the slightest of touches they have proved themselves of being worthy
of being at the top of the list.
The NBA world has come across many sorts of players during its long history. If we talk about players who failed to recover after some serious physical content them the first name that would strike your mind would be of . . . . . .  Vince Carter??
Some players face injuries and it is just bad luck that they are remembered for having an injury prone career. The biggest example of this being Yao Ming, the great Houston Rockets player. Well coming to topic after displaying a lot toughness, it is A.C
Green who is the all time greatest as he played in 1,192 consecutive games to create a record that would take years to beat. Let’s finish the list with the top two current iron men in the league.
Derek Fisher, Los Angeles Lakers
Derek Fisher is the third Los Angeles Lakers player who is included in the list of iron men and the second in top three. Derek Fisher is one of the veterans of the game and now is also among some of the ‘old men’ of the NBA.
However, the consistency level hasn’t falling as hasn’t missed a single game after playing the Golden State Warriors during the course of the 2003-05 season. Currently pursuing the title for most consecutive games played, Derek Fisher is ahead of the rest
of the pack with 459 games and the streak is still continuing.
Being a part of Los Angeles Lakers enables him to play more games than anybody during the course of the season as he played almost 24 games during the course of the last two seasons in the play-offs alone. The age factor doesn’t seem to affect him as by
each passing game he seems to get better and better.
Derek Fisher alongside the two time defending champions, Los Angeles Lakers has still a little more to offer keeping in the mind his consistent form. Undoubtedly, he is one of the important assets in the Lakers locker room as they pursue their third consecutive
title.
Andre Miller, Portland Blazers
Andre Miller is in the top spot for the iron men rankings in the NBA. Andre Miller was the leader just a month ago with most consecutive games played by and active player pursuing the ultimate bench mark. However, a strong push on Blake Griffin resulted
in him being suspended and the streak ended as a result of this.
It was sad for him and his followers as he had no signs of slowing down even though he played 632 consecutive games. Currently 34 years old, Miller says that there is nothing special about what he eats or does it just that he loves to play and wants to play
every game that he has even the slightest chance of playing.
"I have no regimen," Miller says. “no weights, no cardio, no nothing. I really don't pick up a basketball."
"(My diet) isn't healthy at all," Miller says. "Hamburgers, hot links on the Fourth of July, all that."
