NBA Report: Los Angeles Lakers struggling hard to win.
Who wins the matchup on Tuesday night?
There will be a matchup between the Los Angeles and the Washington Wizards at Verizon Center, Washington, DC at 7:00 pm Tuesday night.
The Lakers had a great day off with President Barack Obama at the White House. They celebrated a splendid day as they posed for photographs with him and relaxed their nerves with a basketball match with the leader of the nation. Wow! They were given this
honour for winning last season’s title but now it seems like they need to do more hard work in order to spend another day with him.
The Lakers need a little home work before they meet the Washington Wizards Tuesday night. They have been losing their spark lately and had a rather off their own standard performance in the previous match they played.
Even though they won their last three matches but still they were not completely in their usual team spirits and lacked what they needed to have.
They won a 115-108 win over Washington Wizards last Tuesday. The Lakers were leading by four points with just 1:20 on the clock, and that is how they saved their eighth game winning streak.
Kobe Bryant scored 32 points and had nine of them added in the very last 5:23 of the game. Washington Wizards scored 14 points in the same matchup and both the players contributed to the ‘could have drowned ship’.
Right after clinching their close call on the Wizards, the Lakers had another victory over the Los Angles Clippers 87-86 and a large part of that was due to a layup dunked by Derek Fisher. They were on the verge of losing that game too, had Fisher not made
that layup when the buzzer rang, the Lakers would not have rejoiced that victory.
The Lakers after showing this type of performance against the Wizards and Clippers had finally a loss awaiting them at Chicago on Friday. They were trampled down over there in an 88-84 loss and made them reconsider their endeavours as a team.
The two times NBA defending champs then went to New Jersey and bellowed up to survive that match and clinch it against the New Jersey Nets in a 99-92 win on Sunday.
Bryant showed his suspicions about his team’s play as he later said, "We have to muster up the energy and muster up the motivation to play every night, I'm (annoyed) about it. We're not doing a good job of doing it."
The Wizards are also not maintaining that good a statistics as a team but at least they are good at losing. Now lets see who survives this
on going battle between ‘losing’ and ‘struggling not to lose’ on Tuesday night.
