Continuing our journey in filtering out players who are potential Hall of Famers, our list continues. NBA has been host to some of the most spectacular games and built some of the most magnificent players. NBA is a sport that not only requires physical but also mental strength. In the previous two parts, we have discussed the basketball players that are certain to get them inducted in the Hall of Fame but in this article, we will be discussing players who might have a chance of making it into the Hall of Fame.
Chauncey Phillips is one of the most talented players and has impressed many with the level of skill and talent that he has. However, he is not as young now but the level of game he puts up makes him one of the best in the NBA. Coupled with this, is his recent performance at the world championship against France, where Phillips was a notable part of the USA team that defeated the French. Phillips has a short list of achievements in which he has a championship and a MVP Finals award to his name. Not only this, Phillips is one of the biggest winners of his generation.
Paul Pierce is another one of the players who has given a great deal to the NBA. Playing with the utmost devotion, talent and skilful play, Paul has managed to win a tournament and has been part of the NBA All-Star selection. In addition, experts think that Paul will surely be reaching the 20,000 points mark by the end of the next season. Experts say that he has a chance of making to the Hall of Fame but aren’t sure whether or not he would make it.
Dwayne Wade, one of the superstars of the Miami Heat team who is looking strong considering the fact that big names like Chris Bosh and LeBron James have joined the Miami squad. Previously D-Wade, as more popularly known has been able to grab one championship ring, that too when Shaq was in the Heat team. Along with this, Wade has been selected six times in the All Stars and has also been named as the MVP in the All Star game. Experts think that this player still has about nine seasons to play for and in that, if he is able to come up with a little improved performances, he then might be able to make it into the Hall of Fame. However, it will be sure that D-Wade will make it into the Hall of Fame if the Heat manages to win eight NBA titles as said by King James.
Pau Gasol the defending champion is young and is still improving. The young Spaniard will be looking at a long and aiming for a career full of achievements, considering the fact that he has already got two titles to his name. However, not a lot can be said right now but experts say that keeping in mind the fact that he still developing. Experts add to this saying that if the developing phase has given him two titles, then a lot more can be expected in future and if that is the case then Pau is a future Hall of Fame or sure without a doubt.
Manu Ginobilli is another “maybe” in the Hall of Fame inductees. Ginobilli has been a key part to three titles for the Spurs. However, with the Big Man Tim Duncan in the team, it seems unlikely that he would be able to rise to the top until he retires. Experts say that Ginobilli might make his way to the Hall of Fame after Tim retires like Steve Nash.
Experts say that they are surprised that why Vince Carter is underrated keeping in mind the fact that he is reaching 20,000 points in the upcoming seasons. Vince is one of the most exciting players ever. He has been a part of eight All-Star selections and a Rookie of the Year award. If the Magic manage to come up with a title then Vince Carter might be able to make his way into the Hall of Fame.
