NBA Special Report: Possible ways as to how Derrick Rose can win the MVP award during the 2010-11 season (Part 1)

The NBA history has witnessed many great players dominate through the course of years. There have been great players like Wilt Chamberlain, Kareem Abdul Jabbar, Bill Russell and Michael Jordan. All these players are among the greatest basketball players
and among them is Abdul- Kareem Jabbar, the greatest scorers of all times.
Bill Russell on the other hand is another one of the great winners who managed to stack up a huge 11 NBA championships. Jordan is among some of the most achieved players in the NBA and one of the greatest shooting guards that the franchise has seen. Wilt
Chamberlain is one of the players who made the record for the most points scored in a single game that being of 100 points. These players have managed to stack up a huge 20 MVP trophies among themselves.
Last season saw players in the NBA like LeBron James, Dwayne Wade, Kevin Durant and Dwight Howard rise to the top and excel in their respective teams. This year, another name is purposed in the list of the players who could become the greatest. That name
is of the Chicago Bulls player, Derrick Rose. Frequently bagging good performances week in and week out, this player is quickly cementing his position as among some of the best point guards in the NBA. In this article, we will be looking at some of the things
that this player needs to do in order to become one of the greatest players in the NBA.
The first thing that Rose needs to do is that he needs to be the stand out man in the Chicago Bulls who dominates. He needs to show the NBA world that he is one of the best in business and also become the leader of the Chicago Bulls. Unlike LeBron James,
this player didn’t want to share the spot light, this is the reason as to why he wasn’t particular content on the fact of inviting LeBron James to the Bulls. However, this season, he has to prove that he is the player who can surely excel and be standout player
as well as be the leader on and off the court. Other teammate on the roster like Joakim Noah would surely help him rise to the position that he is eyeing this season. Besides the fact of being amongst the stand out leader in the NBA team, his statistics should
also the support the fact of being the standout player. Last season saw this player end the season with the following statistics:
20.8 points per game, 3.8 rebounds per game and 6.0 assists per game. These statistics need to improve surely, if he wants to be the dominating and standout player that he aims on becoming. However, these are strong statistics of an All-Star but no way can
he win the MVP award with the following statistics. Though his recent performance in the FIBA championships would surely help him a great deal according to experts, but he needs to boost his statistics too. If this player needs to become the MVP this season,
then Rose would have to come up with an average of 24 points per game, 5 rebounds per game and around 7.5 assists per game. Coupled with this is the fact that he needs to have about 1.3 steals per game.
Nothing matters more than the fact of the steals and rebounds on which he needs to improve a little. Rose has one thing that may urge the voters to vote for him in the running of the MVP award. That is of being able to carry the players along with him and
constantly trying to make the younger players increase their skill.
This player has good offensive skills but defence is something he needs to improve on, as it is the one that mainly separates the standout performers from the good ones.
