NBA Special Report: Questions about upcoming NBA Season (Part 6)

Coming to one of the most important questions about the upcoming season, we have some good contenders in line that could be a possible answer.
One of the questions that will not only be question coming up this season but for as long as Kobe plays is that, where does Kobe Bryant lie in the list of NBA greats?
This past season saw Kobe Bryant win his second consecutive NBA title. This effectively meant that he had won 5 championship rings now. This player now is one of the greats in the Los Angeles Lakers history tying with Magic Johnson
for most number of NBA titles. Reports and speculations fly in from all over that lead to the fact that if this player manages to win the NBA title can become the top player in NBA’s history. Not only this, Kobe will also challenge Tim Duncan of the San Antonio
Spurs for the seventh spot he occupies in the list of great players of the NBA.
Winning the title this season and completing the three-peat over the past three seasons, Kobe will be able to win six championship rings. This will tie him with Michael Jordan for most number of NBA titles for a player and make
him one of the most rewarded players in the NBA. With a few seasons still left in the NBA, experts say that this player can still achieve a lot which will for sure take him to new heights in terms of personal achievements.
Next, we have one of the interesting questions as to whether or not there has been a permanent shift in power between the Western and the Eastern Conferences?
When it comes to the fact that which conference was able to gain more during the NBA draft, then without a doubt it is the Eastern Conference. The Eastern Conference was able to keep players like LeBron James and Dwyane Wade. The
East in addition to this was able to bring players from the West into the East like Amar’e Stoudemire from the Phoenix Suns and Carlos Boozer from the Utah Jazz to the Chicago Bulls. This has resulted in the West being much stronger when it comes to power
while comparing both conferences.
The Eastern Conference achieved a lot as they also ensured that John Wall also remained there. Players like Derrick Rose of the Chicago Bulls add to the strength of the Eastern Conference. What analysts say is that if Kevin Durant
was not in the Western Conference, then the West would surely be under a lot of pressure from the East. Players like Kobe Bryant, Dirk Nowitzki and Tim Duncan are among the powerful players in the West but still they wouldn’t have been able to overpower the
East. Moreover, once Kobe retires then who knows the West would just have been crumbling if it hadn’t been for the last year’s scoring champion, Kevin Durant being in the conference.
The Lakers, Thunder, Mavericks, Blazers, Spurs and Rockets are still among the powerful teams in the Western Conference without any doubt. All of the above mentioned teams have without any doubt chances of being the NBA champions
this upcoming season. But analysts say that the days of total domination of the Western Conference are much less if not ended by the Eastern Conference as yet.
Last but not the least; the NBA world would be questioned about the fact that whether Kevin Durant is the next cross-over superstar of the NBA?
After Kevin Durant became the youngest player in the history of NBA to win the scoring title, he managed to make his way into the NBA superstardom. Such were the abilities of this player that he was regarded as a very important
part of the USA team during the FIBA championships. Though according to reports he didn’t want to be the face of the USA team but the coach regarded him as an important contributor for the gold medal win. This player was also regarded as being one of the best
players who was too unselfish.
Keeping these things in mind, experts say that this player without a doubt has a strong chance of not only winning the scoring title this season but also win the MVP award. With this comes the statement that if this player is able
to continue the performances that he has been showing, then he can be one of the youngest achieving players in the history of NBA.
