NBA Special Report- Three point specialists for the 2010-11 Season (Part 4)
The list is almost reaching the end which mentions the three-point specialists of the game who are expected to excel during the upcoming season to boost their chances of finishing in a strong position. This strong finish will not be in terms of personal
achievements only but also a strong finish for their respective teams. Now that we are coming up to the top 3 players in the league it can very well be said that if they perform to the best of their abilities they can surely be the key elements in their respective
team’s success.
Moving on, we have Danny Granger making it to the fourth spot in the list. This extravagant player has not only been able to perform for his current Indiana Pacer team but also proved to be one of the most productive players for his national team (USA) in
the department of three-point shooting. Not only this, this extravagant player will be looking to improve past performances. If this happens then experts say that this player can become one of the legends in the department as he already has an average of 2.7
and 2.6 threes per game.
The only thing that worries the analysts and hinders this player’s road to glory is the fact that Granger regularly gets injured. This player regularly finishes the season missing 20-30 games each season and this is the reason that this player is not on
top of this list though he without a doubt has the potential to be there. On the contrary, this player still has been able to maintain a good shooting percentage of 38.5. Experts say that this player has all the skills to meet the challenges that would be
put up by another player in the league provided that he stays fit. And with the arrival of a good point guard in Darren Collins, this player would get more opportunities to score from the 23-feet nine inch distance on a regular basis. If this player stays
healthy then as he is expected to be the lead three-point scorer.
The third spot in the list is occupied by another talented player Rashard Lewis of the Orlando Magic. Though the 2009-10 was not much of a successful season for this player, averaging only 14.1 points per game, experts say that this player is one of the
best three-point shooters of the game. This point scoring average of points per game was his lowest from the time of his second season in the NBA that was during the 1999-00 season.
Though this player wasn’t much of a success according to his standards, he still managed 2.3 threes per game that also helped the Magic break the record of the most number of three pointers during a NBA season. The season for him finished with a 39.7 percentage
of shooting from the three-point line.
If the player is able to come back to the form that he was in during the previous few seasons, then the Magic’s can very well crush their own record this upcoming season. Analysts say that players like Lewis and Vince Carter have a lot of potential and if
they are able to perform like they did during the prime times of their career then the Orlando Magic can very well be a strong contender for the NBA title.
Experts say that this season will be a productive one for this player due to the fact that this time this player is not facing the 10-game ban that he was facing during the last season and will have more games to bag more three-pointers this time around.
This will without a doubt give him an opportunity to be the best three-point specialist in the NBA.
