NBA Special Report: Top centres in the NBA (Part 2)
Continuing with the list of players who are pure centres of the NBA today, there are other top-three centres worth mentioning. These players are young and along with this is the fact that they are still improving.
Another part of the chain who occupies third position as the best centres in the NBA is Brook Lopez. Brook is another player with the traditional style of centre playing who has his back towards the basket. This developing player has a mild range shot and according to experts can put up good amount of dominating minutes. This player is extremely talented and has loads of skill. The 7-foot player has couple up post moves that make him one of the unique players in NBA. These quick post moves enable him to go past the defenders, and then come up with scoring opportunities. Like all centres this player is good shooter and combined with this comes his ability of being one of the good shot-blockers of the game.
Experts say that this player will surely develop into a great defensive player, as he plays more and more and gains experience. The Nets were awful last season that ruined his chances of being in the All-Star game, though this player had the statistics of being a part of the All-Star weekend according to the experts. Experts say that once the Nets get back on the winning roads then this will be the time when Brook will receive all the recognition for the hard work he has been doing ever since being a part of the Nets.
The second spot is occupied by Andrew Bynum who is said by experts to be one of the most talented and frustrating players in the NBA today. This exciting player has some of the best moves that a centre can posses. Not only this but this player has a great ability to frustrate players and come up with shot-blocking that mark him among some of the best centres of the NBA today. The only thing that goes against him is that this player isn’t able to come up with consistent performances. Before the arrival of Pau Gasol in the Lakers, Bynum was a terror for all of the opposition but now his improving game seems to have slowed down.
This player is one of the talented players but like others the injuries are the things that hurt him the most. Still keeping this in mind, this good player has been able to maintain an average of 15 points per game and around 9 rebounds per game. Experts say that this player if stays healthy can continuously improve on his ability and then reach the limitless potential. Sometimes a third and sometimes a fourth option for the Lakers, if he impresses the coach, which according to experts he can without a doubt, keeping in mind the talent he has can certainly reach the starting line-up.
The top-spot without a single doubt is occupied by the Orlando Magic’s Dwight Howard. Experts say that Howard is an extravagant player when it comes to defence but needs some improvement on the offensive play. But the level in defence that this player has been able to reach puts him in the number one spot in the list of best centres of the NBA.
When it comes to the shot-blocking and rebounding, this player is without a doubt an excellent player in the department. This player has a lot of confidence in his game, which enables him to dominate the area inside the three-pointer line. Coupled with this is another of his capabilities of being able to dunk no matter which player is in front of him. Experts say that this player still needs to improve, when it comes to the consistency factor. A little more consistence could make him one of the greatest in the business.
