NBA Special Report: Wild Cards who could alter the playoffs this season (Part 3)
Continuing further on the list of players who had a good NBA season last year and now the this time have good form carrying into the new season makes the season all the more exciting. These players with their talents and skills will be looking to dominate the proceedings and with a little effort may make it into the Conference Finals or maybe even the way into the NBA Finals.
Blake Griffin is next in the list that was the most hyped pick in the 2009 draft pick after the hype draft pick of LeBron James in 2003. The Los Angeles Clippers were very excited after he was drafted to the Clippers and thought that their glory days are about to begin. However, to their horror, the Clippers lost this spectacular player due to the horrendous knee injury that this player suffered.
Now that this player is all healthy again, the Clippers will be having a revival of what they thought last season. The Clippers will be expecting him to perform and then making the team qualify into the playoffs, where they will be looking to come up with performances that would result in them heading into the Conference Finals. The Clipper have had a relatively good offseason up till now, and with the addition of Griffin into the squad the experts say that he is equivalent to a superman for the team. With the skills and the scoring abilities that this player offers, makes Clippers more dynamic and diverse when it comes to the talent.
Other players in the team like Baron Davis, who are excellent on the outside, will be looking to pounce on every opportunity outside the three-pointer line and Griffin would nail anything he gets inside the two pointer line. However, the experts say that as a rookie Griffin can change things in the Western Conference very quickly. Reports that have come up suggest that if this player is able to contribute 20 points per game then the Clippers may well be the second best team to the Lakers making their way into the playoffs.
Hedo Turkoglu is one player who didn’t have such a good last season but according to experts will rise to the occasion this season, and now he has been drafted into a new team. He did however lose his reputation of being one of the most deadly players in the NBA to a player who nobody feared. He was one of the most difficult men to match on court but it took only one season in the Raptors that led to him being a player who nobody feared.
Now that this player has been drafted into the Phoenix Suns, experts say that he will regain the form that he had and be the player that this extravagant player once was. Without a doubt, this spectacular player can form one of the most deadly combinations with Steve Nash and then demolish the opposition. Some people count the Suns out of the playoffs after the departure of Amare Stoudamire but experts say that with Hedo in the squad they still have a very strong chance of making it into the playoffs. The Suns may well be in for a treat this season if Hedo is able to perform the way he used to during his stay in Orlando.
Statistics have shown that this player with the talent and skill that he possess can be one of the most dangerous players to play against. While running on court and lining himself for shooting it is quite said that this player is one of the top five hardest players to defend in the league.
Running alongside players like Nash will be resulting in deadly outcomes for the player that would mean not only defeat but in most cases defeat by humiliation as said by the experts.
