NBA Special Report- underrated teams with a winning potential (Part 1)
Some of the teams in the NBA are quite underrated. One of the reasons for this is simply that they cannot perform well. Some NBA fans think that they are going to have a poor season. Whatever the case, the reports suggest that the teams mentioned in this
article are quite underrated, yet have the potential to be very successful and emerge as the best teams in the upcoming season.
The first team in this list is the Houston Rockets. The Rockets will be a better team this season due to the fact that Yao Ming is back. The Rockets have also added Brad Miller to further strengthen their squad. With this, the responsibilities on Yao Ming’s
shoulders would be less, as he wouldn’t have to play every night. This further supports Yao, who according to his doctors is only allowed to play for 24 minutes per game.
Though Miller’s talent would surely help the Rockets, but if Yao Ming gets injured, then the Rockets performance graph might turn down. However, the critics have a totally different say. Considering their statistics, the Rockets won 42 games last season
without Yao Ming. And keeping this in mind that Yao was one of the regular and essentials of the team, this was a great achievement. Those who still don’t agree with this, experts say that Yao is of same importance as LeBron was to the Cavs, who bagged victories
for them single-headedly. If LeBron broke his foot, then the Cavs could never win 42 games. Comparing this to the 42 wins of the Rockets, this is surely one team with one strong roster. If all goes well, the Rockets are in to surprise many, and if Yao stays
healthy then one could expect the Rockets making it to the Finals.
Another team that is currently underrated is Orlando Magic. Though this team was one of the top three-point scoring teams, making a record, they are said to be weak this season. Weak not because of letting go of any player but due to the fact that the Eastern
Conference is now flooded with more power than before. The addition of players like LeBron James and Chris Bosh to the Miami Heat makes the Orlando Magic the third best team in the Conference, if not second. This also leads to the critics saying that the Orlando
have become an afterthought from a championship winning team.
The Orlando Magic has made no moves this off-season and this would drastically decrease their performances due the simple fact of not being able to rotate players. But as history has shown, the Magics are confident that if the keep a good team, even if it
is a little old, it wouldn’t hurt their chances of winning a title. But even if it happens would in matter of many years as the Magic’s squad is still young and among one of the most talented in the NBA. Playing alongside players like Vince Carter, these young
players gain experience to mould themselves into potential greats of the future.
Reports suggest that if the Orlando Magic isn’t able to be successful this season, they can very well consider this year as another season to gel. This due to the fact that the team is still very young and still has loads to offer to the NBA. On their day,
they can very well beat the giants in the playoffs and according to many analysts; they would surely come this season. Added to this is the fact that the Orlando Magic has the best true centre in the NBA today in the form of Dwight Howard along with one of
the best playmakers, Jameer Nelson. This team is surely equally potential of bagging performances like last season if not better.
