One of the most electrifying players in NBA history, Vince Carter is still bothered by an aching knee, but it is not so critical as to need an arthroscopic surgery either.
Vince Carter "Vinsanity" was considering an arthroscopic surgery on his troublesome left knee that could keep him out from the team of the sizzling Phoenix Suns for up to a month. However, it is the time for the Suns fans to cheer up as the doctors in Phoenix
who looked at an MRI and decided what Carter needs is some rest and cure.
Carter was injured in the Magic’s 106-97 loss at San Antonio Spurs on Monday, 24 November 2010 while still with the Orlando Magic. Carter made a spin move and lay-up on the fourth quarter but his left leg landed awkwardly. He limped off the floor and did
not return into the game.
As the doctors suggest rest, Carter “Half Man Half Amazing” will miss Thursday’s game against the Miami Heat at US Airways Centre, which means his Phoenix debut will be put off until at least Sunday against the struggling Los Angeles Clippers. Probably it
can be delayed for several weeks depending upon the day-to-day observation reports.
Phoenix Suns President of Basketball Operations Lon Babby said that, “We did a lot of due diligence on it before. We did a very careful examination of him during the physical and he's not going to need surgery and I think he will only be out a short period
of time.”
Lon Babby and the Suns are confident that Aaron Nelson and his highly dedicated training staff can fix Carter up and get him right back on the floor. Nelson is the one who were able to keep Shaquille O’Neal and Grant Hill as healthy as they had been for
a decade. It may be the best thing for Carter also, as he is restless for his debut with the Suns.
"Once we put these guys in the hands of our first-rate training staff, they recover miraculously. I'm starting to think that we should change our name to the 'Phoenix Benjamin Buttons' because instead of getting older, we seem to get younger with these guys.
Grant Hill and Steve Nash and now Vince Carter," Babby said.
