Phoenix Suns 102 – Utah Jazz 101
Channing Frye registered a career-high 31 points and 11 rebounds, as the Phoenix Suns managed a narrow 102-101 victory over the visiting Utah Jazz, at US Airways Centre.
Steve Nash played an effective game as he had 20 points and 14 assists to pace Phoenix in the home victory. Mickael Pietrus and Marcin Gortat scored 11 points each for the Suns, who are now 27-26 during the 2010-11 season.
Al Jefferson played responsibly as he kept the Jazz in the game with 32 points and 10 boards. C.J. Miles came off the bench with 19 points while forward Paul Millsap ended with 13 points for Utah, who lost their 25th game of the season. Deron
Williams did all he could as he added 11 points, 11 assists and six turnovers for the Jazz, who had lost their last three games.
The first quarter revolved around Channing Frye as he scored 19 of his points in the first, capped by 7-of-7 shooting from the field. Utah on the other hand played some sloppy shots, allowing the Suns to take a 29-27 lead into the second. The Jazz came out
strongly in the second quarter as they successfully turned the two-point opening quarter deficit into a 53-50 advantage at half time.
Trailing by three points at half time, Phoenix got their defensive touch back in the third quarter to take a 76-73 lead into the final stanza. Miles opened the fourth quarter with a running jumper and tied the game at 76-76. Jefferson then broke the ice
with his sizzling dunk shot to give the Utah a two-point lead. 
Trailing by 100-98 with just 8.1 seconds left until the final buzzer, Utah had a golden chance to tie the game. However, Paul Millsap missed the diving shot and Nash hit both free throws to seal the home victory.
Golden State Warriors 102 – New Orleans Hornets 89
Guard Monta Ellis led all scorers with 21 points as the Golden State Warriors overcame the New Orleans Hornets 102-89 at ORACLE Arena on Tuesday night.
Dorell Wright and David Lee added 16 points each for the Warriors, who have won six of their last eight games of the 2010-11 season. Stephen Curry had 14 points while Vladimir Radmanovic finished with 13 points for Golden State, who won their second consecutive
game.
David West and Marco Belinelli came off the bench with 15 points each for New Orleans in the defeat. All-Star Chris Paul registered 11 points and grabbed 10 assists for the Hornets, who lost their 24thgame of the season. Forward Trevor Ariza and
guard Jarrett Jack also added 11 points each for New Orleans, who are now 33-24 during this season.
The Hornets controlled every aspect of the game early in the first quarter as they scored the game's first seven points, taking a 32-22 lead into the second. The Warriors got themselves back into the game in the second quarter as they put together a 15-3
run to take a 58-53 edge into the locker room.  
The Hornets got going offensively early in the third quarter but Golden State used an 11-2 run to take an 83-71 advantage into the fourth quarter. Both teams started the fourth at a crisp pace but Golden State went on an 11-3 flurry to eventually put the
game away.
