NBA Update: 2nd Half Analysis: Philadelphia 76ers vs. Golden State Warriors
3rd Quarter
Monta Ellis (GSW) missed a running layup shot at the very start of the 2nd half. The Warriors grabbed a team rebound right after that and David Lee’s attempt at a jump bank shot was missed at 11:41 on the clock. The first two minutes of the game
just saw rebounds and missed shots coming from both the teams. At 10 minutes left, Jrue Holiday made the first three pointer of the second half and clinched 52 for the Sixers, GSW was still at the lead with three points.
Spencer Hawes committed a shooting foul and right after that a technical foul at 9:20 on the clock. Eddy Curry moved forward to grab a technical free throw that earned him seven points.
Jodie Meeks made a put back layup shot that levelled the scores 57- all with 8 minutes left in third quarter.
Ellis’s pull-up jump shot gave the Warriors a two point lead over the Sixers 59-57. Dorell Wright’s step back jump shot pulled the Warriors ahead by two points 61-59.
Acie Law made a pull-up jump shot as Wright gave him an assist to give the Warriors a three point lead over the Sixers 64-61.
Thaddeus Young’s shooting foul gave two more points to the Warriors as Ellis dunked in to get two free throws right after.
End of 3rd quarter saw a five point lead by the Warriors 76-71.
4th Quarter
Hawes missed a turnaround fade away jump shot at the very start of the fourth quarter. Curry grabbed a rebound and Lee missed a jump shot for GSW.  Turner grabbed a rebound for the Sixers at 11:20 on the clock and Lee reconciled to grab one for the Warriors.
Lee made a step back jump shot and Curry gave him an assist to keep the Warriors at the lead 78-71.
Elton Brand committed a shooting foul for the Sixers at 9:37 on the clock and gave the Warriors another two points through two free throws.
Lee committed a technical foul for the Warriors right after they savoured the free throws. Turner made a pull up jump shot to earn two points for the Sixers 75-82.
Another shooting foul from Hawes and the Warriors floated ahead with two more free throws that Curry grabbed instantly, scores were 96-82.
The Warriors never looked back after this point and a series of jump shots, layups and free throws set them on fire and they took a 15 point lead over the Sixers 110-95.
