First quarter
The ball was jumped between Shaquille O’Neal and Spencer Hawes and Paul Pierce dunked in to gain possession of the ball for the Celtics.
However, Pierce missed the jump shot and Hawes grabbed the Sixers a rebound. O’Neal rebounded the ball for the Celtics as soon as Andre Iguodala missed a jump shot for the Sixers and Kevin Garnett clinched the Celtics their first two points by swishing in
for a running finger roll layup shot as Nate Robinson gave him an assist.
Jrue Holiday made a floating jump shot for the Sixers to initiate their game with two points.
Robinson gave the first turnover of the game and Pierce made a foul to quench the thirst of Sixers with two free throws that Jodie Meeks acquired with ease.
Ray Allen’s jump shot balanced the Celtics with Sixers 17-17 as Robinson gave him an assist. Robinson committed a personal foul right after that and Garnett made a jump hook shot to take the scores further 19-17. Allen’s driving layup shot and jump shot
flattered the scores further for the Celtics 23-17.

Second quarter
Tony Battie made a dunk shot as Holiday gave him an assist to carry out 19 points for the Sixers. Marquis Daniels gave a turnover and Avery Bradley committed a personal foul for the Celtics right after.
Davis had another jump shot for the Celtics that was assisted by Pierce at 10:03 on the clock.
Thaddeus Young reconciled for the Sixers to take a step back jump shot that took them from 24 to 26. Pierce missed a three pointer shot that provoked Battie to grab a rebound for the Sixers.
Williams took flee with a running jump shot that gave the Sixers a one point lead over the Celtics. It was Williams again to grab a free throw after Robinson committed a shooting foul for the Celtics and Williams once again to grab the free throw provided.
The Sixers kept their stance well maintained after that and Iguodala’s turnaround fade away shot gave them a six-point lead over the Celtics by the end of second quarter.
