NBA Update: Second Half Analysis, New York Knicks vs. Utah Jazz
Utah Jazz took an eight point lead over the Knicks at the end of first half, 65-57.
Third Quarter
Amar’e Stoudemire clinched a jump shot at the very beginning to gain the first two points of the third quarter, 59-65. Raja Bell clinched a three pointer for Utah Jazz that was assisted by Deron Williams. Wilson Chandler clinched a three pointer and got
help from Stoudemire to clinch the shot, 62-68, at 11:04 on the clock. Bill Walker committed the first personal foul of the second half, and Bell gained possession of both the free throws provided, 74-64.
(Knicks) Shawne Williams missed a jump shot at 8 minutes in final quarter and D. Williams grabbed a rebound for his team. (Jazz) Bell missed a three pointer shot after that but Al Jefferson rebound the ball again immediately. Paul Millsap scored 13 as he
made a jump shot assisted by D. Williams at 7:26 on the clock.
Williams left everyone baffled as he clinched straight three pointers in a row, taking Knicks from 79 to 88-91, closing on Utah. Ronny Turiaf committed a personal foul at 2:58 left in final quarter that pounced a free throw for Utah, 92-88.
End of third quarter
Utah took a 100-94 lead over the New York Knicks at the end of third quarter.
Fourth Quarter
C. J. Miles clinched the very first shot of the final quarter, going 102-94 over Utah. Toney Douglas responded with a three pointer that he missed. Mehmet Okur rebound the ball for Utah. Okur gave a turnover to the opponent team that was blocked by Stoudemire,
for the Knicks. Mason Jr. missed the shot that came his way at 10:50 left in game and Miles made a layup shot that was assisted by Andrei Kirilenko, 104-94. Okur grabbed a driving layup shot as Miles gave his teammate an assist and S. Williams committed a
shooting foul right after. Okur took hold of the free throw that came his way, 107-96 over the Knicks.
Miles missed a three pointer and Kirilenko committed a shooting foul that gave the Knicks an opportunity to grab a free throw, trying to close in on Utah. The Knicks were still at a 10-point deficit when Kirilenko clinched a putback dunk shot to edge a 12
point run over the Knicks, 109-97. Miles clinched a three pointer when Utah was already proceeding with an edgy lead over the Knicks, 116-104. A three pointer clinched at just six minutes in game gave Utah a shooting 14-point edge over faltering Knicks. S.
Williams clinched a three pointer after one by teammate Walker to close the gap, 114-121 over Utah.
The deficit was shortened to 122-129 when Stoudemire clinched two free throws that came his way after Jefferson committed a shooting foul. With the game coming to an end, the Knicks could not do much at that point. Stoudemire made the last attempt to win
at 10.6 seconds left in buzzer to lose a struggling game from Utah, 125-131.

Utah Jazz took a six point lead over the Knicks, 131-125.
